At Discovery Point, we take pride in being at the forefront of child care. Our goal is to redefine daycare for our families and the children in our care. Our dedicated caregivers are not simply spending the day with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children; they are providing the formative educational experiences that will shape the way these young minds address the rest of their academic careers. Our early childhood teachers implement research-based curriculum and a child-centered instructional approach for every age and stage of development — it is not simply “daycare.”
Children have an innate sense of wonder and curiosity about the world. When encouraged, they can think creatively and gain the confidence they need to go out and change the world! At Discovery Point, we believe it’s never too soon to foster a thirst for knowledge and an appreciation for play through dynamic and engaging child care programs.

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” Will Durant: This adage is what we live by at Discovery Point Post Road. Ayesha and Khaleel Mawad are the owners of this facility and have been running this business for thirteen years now with much zeal and passion. With a bachelor’s in early childhood education, and Masters in Instructional Technology, Ayesha has about 14 years of teaching experience in Fulton County Public and Charter schools. Khaleel has over 25 years of experience working as an IT consultant and worked in several of the most prestigious companies such as Delta, Coca-Cola, IBM and General Motors. They are Alpharetta residents with three children of their own.
Children have always been an integral part of our lives and therefore when the opportunity to start a Discovery Point came by, we seized it and it has been such an remarkable journey since. Working with children is extremely gratifying; every day is not alike, and you get to be a part of a community that helps children learn, grow, and develop to their greatest potential. We thoroughly value partnering with families, our teachers, and children to create an environment that is warm, welcoming, and inspiring.
