At Discovery Point, we take pride in being at the forefront of child care. Our goal is to redefine daycare for our families and the children in our care. Our dedicated caregivers are not simply spending the day with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children; they are providing the formative educational experiences that will shape the way these young minds address the rest of their academic careers. Our early childhood teachers implement research-based curriculum and a child-centered instructional approach for every age and stage of development — it is not simply “daycare.”
Children have an innate sense of wonder and curiosity about the world. When encouraged, they can think creatively and gain the confidence they need to go out and change the world! At Discovery Point, we believe it’s never too soon to foster a thirst for knowledge and an appreciation for play through dynamic and engaging child care programs.

Meet the Team
Discovery Point Oakwood
Discovery Point Oakwood is owned by Discovery Point Franchising and is our only company managed center.
Our dedicated staff includes experienced Area Manager, Becky Dollar, who has been a member of the corporate staff since 2012. At the center, our director, Christel Radford has over 20 years of childcare experience and been with Discovery Point over 5 years. Ms. Christel loves serving our community to provide an exciting nurturing learning environment for our great families. Her focus is to provide to provide a stimulating early learning environment that promotes each child’s social and emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Our assistant director Ashley Propes started her career as an assistant teacher in 2007 and has worked in every classroom while she earned her degree. She has also been with Discovery Point in multiple management roles and at our Oakwood center since 2021. Ashley believes that creating a safe and nurturing learning environment is top priority and takes pride in providing a place where children can have fun while learning the foundational skills through all aspects of their day.
